  My first attendance was at the invitation of a friend for over 30 years who had been called to the ministry. I went as a courtesy to my friend Steve Burke. He had been shoeing our horses since he was a youngan in his 20's and is a true Christian . His sermon touched my heart and soul
  I had been absent from church for over 25 years because I could not find a chutch that didn't preach he'll fire and dam nation and tithing. and made me very uncomfortable
  This church was different from any I had ever visited. Although Joyce attended Sunday services at a Baptist Church regularly I was absebt. We attend services together at the early service 9:00AM every sunday. I not only have God back in my life but I look forward to Sunday services i am eager to go and am filled with the faith I had as a young man. The minister Minnie Bailey is truly a messanger of God and a wonderful person. The people a range of rich to poor are absolutely wonderful and come to worship the Lord. I am 75 years old and now have a relationship that has been missing that kept my life from being full. I thank Steve, Minnie and the church members for making me whole by restoring my faith in church and God for the opportunity to once again publicly show my love and faith in him. Thank you First United Methodist Church of talladega. If you are like I was I recommend and invite you to the Early service and believe you will have found a Church you will love. James Hutchinson.
